Graphistry / US DOJ | Data - Multiple | Full-time | US DC/Virgnia metro area (hybrid on-site + WFH) | $150-200K salary; + more in total compensation
Graphistry's visual graph AI platform gets used by analysts all the way from misinformation investigations to supply chain planning to understanding security breaches. Our R&D and OSS helped start projects like GPU data frame computing (Nvidia RAPIDS) and Apache Arrow. Our team currently splits between building the core platform and innovating alongside key customers, such as building out graph neural nets with organizations facing massive digital fraud + hacks. We have a variety of openings, and an especially time sensitive one is embedded within the US DOJ.
DOJ team: A new US DOJ analytics team is being created to work on initiatives with top leaders. There are a couple of broad mission themes for the year, with one of the biggest expectations is change. We are looking for either mid or senior people in all things data (analysis, analytics, data engineering, data science) for hands-on work with the ability to impact regional offices and global programs. Lead-from-the-front leadership opportunities as well. Your time will be primarily on pushing the mission boundary with the DOJ using analytics, and secondarily working with the the rest of the Graphistry team to advance our platform and work with US Gov users.
Data roles can be graph heavy or traditional. Experiences with spark, dask, sql, etl, pydata, pytorch, NLP, tableau, powerbi, streamlit, and jupyter are a plus. Likely to learn Graphistry, graph, and our GPU ecosystem as you go -- cudf, DGL + PyTorch Geometric, and more. Experiences with gov data a plus (crime, health, cyber), and we can help with gov clearance process.

Rebellion Defense | Remote, potentially w/travel to DC - USA only | Full Time | Mid-SR Software Engineers | ~$157,000 to ~$236,000 + options
Your team will be focused on building autonomous systems for some of the company's most important initiatives. Domain experience isn't required, but we're looking for strong backend devs.
The work is mostly in Python and Go; your environment will range from being in the cloud to what I like to call "a hostile development environments" (but don't worry, you'll be surrounded by people that have battle-scars in these environments, and they're _fun_).
In addition to the autnomous systems work, I am also looking for engineers with experience working on data platforms but that are comfortable getting their hands dirty on working all across the stack.
About RD: Rebellion Defense is an amalgamation of folks coming from all walks of life (FAANG, Gov, neither) - all of us are aligned on one thing: software systems (ML/AI in this case) "will be critical in how we understand, decide, and act in the realm of national security" - and we have to show up for that.
We have great benefits and a structured interviewing process that you can read about on the job page below.
If you have hesitations (ethical, cultural, compensation, or otherwise) about working in national security, feel free to ping me (kelvin), at <my_name> at rebelliondefense.com. (or ping me directly if you're interested in the data platform side of things).
Here's the job postings if you just want to go for it: https://rebelliondefense.com/rebellion-careers/current-openi...
