PASTEUR LABS (https://pasteurlabs.ai) | Full-time | REMOTE (worldwide) | Sr+ Engineers (for MLOps, Data Engineering, 3D Game/Physics Engines)
At Pasteur Labs [1], we develop computing technologies that enable scientific and industrial challenges to be approached in new ways: that is, a first of its kind AI-native, developer-first platform of in-silico playgrounds for human-machine teams experimenting and building in industrial R&D, energy security, & adv/additive manufacturing arenas. As a public-benefit for-profit startup, our mission is Nobel-Turing [2] technologies to advance science and society for all humankind.
The pursuit calls for industry hardened and intellectually curious builders who thrive in interdisciplinary territories that are often less-traveled. The team brings deep, diverse expertise from Deepmind, Cerebras, Vicarious, SpaceX, NASA, CERN, Sandia, Nvidia, Autodesk, and more. With fresh venture funding and Fortune500 customers (+100 more on the waitlist), we’re looking for ambitious, intellectually curious software engineers that can consistently contribute in non-trivial, impressive ways as we ship and scale our flagship product platform — some call it “live intelligent digital twins” and others say “cyberphysical testbeds for AGI”, while most view Pasteur Labs product catalogue as “Unity for industrial R&D.”
We’re looking for Engineers at or above Senior level expertise in one or more of MLOps, Data Engineering, 3D Game/Physics Engines.
With HQ in Brooklyn NY [3], we are an internationally distributed team the runs remote full-time — from San Diego to Stockholm and everywhere in-between. The full team gathers 2x per year for Pasteur Labs “onsites”, alternating sites such as Montreal, Amsterdam, Texas, London, NYC etc.
While we don't list requirements for degrees or years-experience, everyone needs to demonstrate high-caliber engineering and problem-solving in multiple domains; we're dedicated to scientific rigor and robust engineering for complex and dynamic environments, so prove to us that you not only fit in but that you can make us better.
If what we’re doing speaks to you, please get in touch! Send your CV/resume and other supporting info/demos/etc to us at careers@simulation.science
11x (https://11x.ai/) | Full-time | London (UK) | ONSITE | Senior Software Engineers
11x is a startup building automated digital workers that can be used to assist or replace human employees. So far we've built "Alice" an AI sales development representative, she's great, she has users, and we have hit growth with Alice alone. But next we are developing the platform to enable anyone to build, share, and deploy digital workers who can be hired just like humans.
We're looking for hungry, product-minded, software engineers to join our team. We're hiring for multiple roles, with Typescript, React/Next, and Node as our core competencies, but we're also looking for strong unique candidates that can help turn this company into the next unicorn and beyond.
You’ll build end-to-end, AI-powered products from scratch to deploy to tens of thousands of users in a matter of months. You’ll need to write a lot of code. You’ll get your hands dirty with coding, technical architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and everything in between. You will be an indispensable element of our team as we build great product, grow in scale, and deliver a new era of work. Interest in early stage startups and AI is required, but no previous LLM/GPT experience needed.
We announced our early stage VC funding in August of $2M, but we're growing fast. The appetite for digital workers is strong, and this next wave of automation has only just started.
If you're interested email your CV/LinkedIn to: jack {at} 11x.ai Closing applications in the next couple of weeks.
bloop (YC S21) | Rust Engineer | Onsite | London, UK
Ever wanted to work on Open Source AI devtools? If so, we should speak! My cofounder Gabe and I started training language models for code search in 2021, and like the rest of the world we've been amazed at the progress in the space over the last few years. YC and tier 1 VCs backed us to build the ultimate AI assistant that can answer questions about large codebases, and we're looking for a product focussed engineer to join our close knit team.
About you: you hack around with GPT on the weekend, maybe you even fine-tune some of these new open source models. But you're also a solid programmer, capable of not just prototyping a nice demo but also shipping performant code that can scale. You're probably quite good at what you do, maybe you were top of your class, or maybe you rose the ranks to your comfortable senior role, but yearn for the days of writing code, redbull and deploying on a Friday.
We're a small team, looking for one individual to join us in London, in-person at least 3 days per week.
Please reach out to me at join [at] bloop [dot] ai with "HN Rust Engineer" in the subject line and a note about why this is exciting and a link to your portfolio or linkedin/resume.
P.S. Our stack is Rust, so it's likely the role will go to a candidate with Rust experience but if you think you have something to offer that compensates for lack of Rust we should chat anyway!

Crisis at Christmas | Volunteer position | Flexible | All levels welcome | London (UK) on-site / Remote
NOTE: Still looking for VoIP people / MDM admins!
Not a job job but I'm hoping to find volunteers who can help us end homelessness in the UK for good.
Crisis is a homelessness charity in the UK. Our flagship event is Crisis at Christmas, where we open homeless shelters during the Christmas period where many other homelessness facilities close and the homeless population face loneliness during the festive period. We provide shelter, warmth, food and drink, activities and entertainment, Internet Cafe, international phone calls, and most importantly advice services to get people out of homelessness for good.
There's a ton of IT that goes on: We need internet connectivity to run our centres (and to provide our clients with Wi-Fi), software to manage everything that goes on in a centre like inventory / incidents / client relationships, making sure we have enough IT supplies like hardware (desktops, tablets and printers), and the list goes on. On top of that, we need a robust service desk to help our (also volunteer) users if they run into issue with IT.
We would appreciate any volunteers in any IT specialities (hardware, software, SRE, VoIP, tech support, etc) in any level (student, starting out or years in the field) to join us and help out with developing and maintaining IT solutions to ensure our event is a success and lift people out of homelessness. As a volunteer at Crisis myself, I've learnt a lot of things I wouldn't have a chance to do in my real job, and that's what makes it interesting to volunteer here.
I can be reached at timothy.choi (at) crisis.org.uk if you have questions or would like to know more.
