We're looking for a senior front end engineer to help us develop our real-time platform for processing medical notes. We are looking for an expert in VueJs, Vuex, GraphQL, and TypeScript. Good design and product sense are required. Experience working with real-time web apps is a plus.

Augmend is developing human x ai x human collaboration for software development teams, reducing collaboration friction through an AI-assisted team workspace that has the ability to hook into various team tools, actions, and workflows paired with an assistant. Our goal is to build the AI teammate and dev tool connections that make it possible to 10x dev teams as a whole, not just individual developers by truly understanding the flow of actions, information, etc. on a team and being there to help out just like a senior engineer might, replacing your likely out-of-date documentation and reducing time burnt communicating and figuring out the context of why and how things are done on a team. We love devs as customers and want to build the best AI-dev tools platform in the world geared at ML-augmented developer capabilities.

We're looking for founding engineer types who can help us plan out the product, move fast, build great things for our first set of customers, and influence the culture we want for the company while still a super small and cohesive team. This is a chance to be among the first couple hires! There are four positions currently open, and we call out specialities but are looking for folks who like to put on their generalist hat too and learn outside their core are.

* Software Engineer, Frontend - Design and develop our web based multiplayer team space. Know and crea deeply about performance and great developer experiences.

* Software Engineer, Backend - Develop the services that support cross-team communication and interfacing with the ML models, working on AWS infra and distributed systems problems.

* Software Engineer, Applications - Develop the client applications that make all this possible, running apps across Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

* Machine Learning Engineer/Applied Scientist - Design and develop the end to end natural language understanding systems that power our team actions/context understanding and assistant. Work with other engineers to set up evaluation, training, and data pipelinee/workflows across search (currently using embeddings based search techniques), information retrieval, and Q&A + natural language generation (currently using LLMs).

OLV | Senior Software Engineer | REMOTE | Full-time, negotiable

OLV is an agency specializing in visual art production (mostly 3D, sometimes interactive) and bespoke software development. Our main product is Customizer, a white-label web-based 3D visualization and customization platform. So far we’ve been in the sports apparel industry, being used for custom jerseys/pants (https://uniforms.mizunocustom.com), footwear (https://cfw.mizunocustom.com), gloves (https://gloves.custom.rawlings.com), helmets (https://helmets.custom.rawlings.com), etc., and we’re expanding.

The challenges are very diverse, here are some recent ones: computational geometry (polygon offsetting, text warping, procedural texture generation, path splicing), data importing (parsing, validation and normalization of sewn pattern files), data exporting (generation of PDFs to be consumed by a textile factory), 3D viewer enhancements (free-form positioning and scaling of artwork directly on a 3D model), the list goes on.

In the near future we’ll be working on user and team accounts, internal tooling and automation around data ingestion (e.g., when a new type of t-shirt is added), administration tools for our clients, a light self-service version of Customizer, new rich customization features, developer experience and reliability improvements, and more.

The likely-constant parts of our stack are TypeScript and React. We also use Babylon.js for 3D, Redux, PostgreSQL, and have the strictest TypeScript configuration possible, a comprehensive ESLint setup, tests, Prettier, Yarn constraints, CSpell, all enforced by GitHub Actions.

We’re a growing team of senior generalists. The company runs on merit, so there is no bound on the impact we can have on the product and the technology behind it.

OLV has offices in Seattle, US and Riga, Latvia. We have two engineers in Latvia, one in Panama and one in the Canary Islands. We can employ directly in US, EU and UK, or contract worldwide. It can be flat rate or hourly, and the amount of hours per month and the benefits are negotiable.

I’m one of the seniors, and I’ve been at OLV for a total of 4 years, and I’d be hard-pressed to find a company with a better balance of fun problems, employment flexibility, creative freedom and pay.
