BindiMaps | REMOTE or ONSITE | Android / Full Stack | Australia | Full-time BindiMaps is an early-stage, funded startup that aims to make indoor spaces accessible for everyone, with an initial focus on vision impaired and neurodivergent individuals.
Our mobile applications run our localisation algorithms to accurately locate users within large indoor spaces, and then guide them to their destination with friendly turn-by-turn directions.
There's also a set of complex web applications that allow us to set up locations, run simulations to verify and debug algorithm performance, and we have client-facing mapping and reporting applications too.
The backend stack runs on GCP, and the web applications primarily use Typescript, React, Docker, and Node, with a bit of Python and Kotlin for some of the algorithm work.
We are hiring to keep up with our rapid growth, and to make our next big push: a camera-based localisation system capable of sub-meter accuracy, and the AR experiences this technology enables. Our current efforts in this area have delivered great results, so we think it's the right time to grow the team.
We are hiring for Android and web/full stack developer positions[0]. I'm one of the engineers on the team and after a few years I can say it's a great place to work. Competitive salaries, flexibility on where you work (I work remotely but we have offices in Melbourne and Sydney), and a really solid product. There's a very flat org structure, and management trusts the tech team to make the right long-term decisions.
If you'd like to work on a product that provides meaningful social impact as well as real technical challenges, you can apply at [1]. Make sure to mention you're from HN.

Graphistry is the first visual graph AI platform. Investigation teams use us to analyze cyber security alerts, fraud, misinformation, and other data intensive problems. We are a small team that tripled last year and are looking for teammates to help us triple again this year as we work with enterprise and government teams on their important missions. Graphistry is known for having helped start the GPU dataframe community, including what is now Nvidia RAPIDS and Apache Arrow (JS tier), and we are active in technologies like automl for graph neural networks.
We are looking for three openings:
* Senior SIEM solutions engineer (hybrid remote: Canberra/Sydney): Help build, launch, and develop GPU AI SOCs that augment Splunk with the Graphistry Python ecosystem and enabled use cases. NV2 clearance sponsorable.
* Senior security data scientist (remote or hybrid, US or Australia): Similar to above, and focus on GNNs, UMAP, and various graph AI use cases & methods. Must be familiar with security incident response data & practices. Sponsorae for NV1+ clearance. If US, likely Secret+, and DC preferred. Split between working with above teams and contributing back to our core platform. Potential to assist or lead DARPA etc special projects.
