Third Iron | Full Stack Developer (Mid-to-Senior level) | Remote (USA) | Full-time
Help create industry-leading software for reading peer-reviewed journal papers used by researchers and research librarians across the globe.
Join our remote-first company where we've been crafting software for research libraries since 2011.
Third Iron software is used by researchers in over 1,300 libraries, including universities, hospitals, corporations, and government agencies located across 35 countries.
We’re looking for a developer interested in doing full-stack work, with a little more focus on the backend. Our development process focuses on creating a great user experience for our customers, which includes researchers of all kinds: scientists, medical professionals, arts and humanities researchers, and beyond. You will help build our APIs, our various admin systems, and our front-end web apps.
Our stack primarily consists of JavaScript (especially NodeJS), PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch. Big supporting roles include RabbitMQ, EmberJS, React, TypeScript, Terraform, Chef, AWS and Heroku.
Since Third Iron has been doing remote work for over a decade, we have a good idea of what works well in a distribute team, and what traps to avoid. If you’re interested in a fully remote job, we’d be excited to chat with you!

Terminal49 | Logistics & Supply Chain | Profitable at Seed | Full Time / Contract | 100% Remote | terminal49.com
Terminal49 is an All-in-One Shipment and Container Tracking Platform. Today, 9/10 people who manage containers still manually track containers across carrier and terminal websites, then update spreadsheets by copy/paste.
Our Ocean Freight Visibility Platform pulls real-time data from every ocean carrier (Remember Ever Given?) and US/Canada port/terminal, standardizes it, and pushes container milestones and other events to our customers—helping them automate their workflows, save time, and save money.
The end result? Goods become cheaper and get to people faster.
Our software and APIs are used by logistics tech startups, logistics service providers such as freight forwarders and customs brokers, trucking companies, cargo owners, and shippers.
>> Our Progress: Went from 0 to $2.5MARR over last 18 months and growing (mostly inbound) at 20+% MOM.
>> Our Vision: Container tracking is just the beginning. We want to automate global trade by building software infrastructure and the best tools for people in LGX and SC. That means going deep into drayage/ocean visibility and building everything from predictive APIS to APIs that programmatically take actions (pay fees, appointment booking, book drayage etc).
>> Why join us? We are a team of 6, fully distributed and profitable. We are about to raise our Series A, so it's the perfect time to join and make an impact on our roadmap and company culture.
