Hey HN, we’re looking for full stack engineers and generalists over at Primitive Instruments Corporation. At Primitive, we make tools that help hardware engineers ship faster. We work with companies building next-gen silicon to startups building small fleets of various devices.
We’ve built a ton already and have customers running their entire CI/CD stack through our platform. This includes things like per commit / nightly simulation jobs, data retention, hardware observability, and more.
If you’re interested in building next-gen infrastructure for engineers building physical devices (with an awesome and passionate team!), please shoot us an email at work at primitive.tech
Core Technology Stack: Python, Django, GraphQL, React, Next.js, Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ and Kubernetes (also an increasing amount of Rust).
Some Tools/Libraries We Use: UV, pnpm, Turborepo, Strawberry GraphQL, Tanstack Query, Shadcn, Click, Celery, Docker, Loki, Prometheus, etc.
Primitive is a small (<5), early-stage VC-funded startup.
Count is like Jupyter, Tableau and Miro combined in one tool. Some of the world's leading data teams use it for everything from iterating data models and performing in-depth analyses to creating process flow maps of their entire business.
We're a small team looking for experienced software engineers who are interested in tackling deep technical challenges in the data analytics space.
For the best possible user experience, we have developed various technologies in-house, including a custom WebGL rendering engine, our own data visualization library, and a reactive SQL/Python notebook and database query framework.
Example projects: accelerating rendering using quadtree tiling, extending interactivity and customizability of visualizations, leveraging LLMs in data exploration, developing serverless frameworks for executing database queries at high concurrency.
Our tech stack: TypeScript, Python, Node, WebAssembly, WebGL, Apache Arrow/Parquet, DuckDB, Kubernetes, React.
For more details and to apply: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/count
We're a VC-funded startup building an automation platform for Infrastructure-as-Code, adding a Policy-as-Code layer above it, in order to make IaC usable in bigger companies, where you have to take care of state consistency, selective permissions, a usable git flow, etc.
On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. We're looking for backend developers who like doing DevOps'y stuff sometimes (because in a way it's the spirit of our company), or have experience with the cloud native ecosystem. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, or SaltStack.
Overall we have a deeply technical product, trying to build something customers love to use, and already have a lot of happy and satisfied customers. We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don't give us a business advantage, as well as healthy working hours. We've also got investment days on Fridays, when you can work on anything you want, as long as it could possibly benefit Spacelift in some way.
If that sounds like fun to you, please apply at https://spacelift.teamtailor.com/jobs/3006934-software-engin...
You can find out more about the product we're building at https://spacelift.io and also see our engineering blog for a few technical blog posts of ours: https://spacelift.io/blog/engineering

Alpaca [0] offers brokerage APIs that let you (and your customers) trade various financial instruments all around the world. I'm helping Alpaca set up a new team focused on crypto perpetual futures — they're a really elegant abstraction for trading with varying leverage, and most crypto traders prefer to trade perps rather than spot.
We're looking for candidates who like ~greenfield engineering (brand new domain within Alpaca, some integration with the legacy systems is necessary but a lot of what we're doing is new) and actually writing code. Our hiring philosophy is to bring in the right people, pay them well, and give everyone meaningful work to do.
Alpaca as a whole is about 50 engineers. We're primarily golang microservices on top of kubernetes, but we'll use whatever tools are best to get the job done and satisfy our customers. To get an idea for the kind of work we do, check out what we shipped in 2024 [1].
Apply here: https://boards.greenhouse.io/alpaca/jobs/5319640004
Any questions, feel free to email me peter.downs @ alpaca.markets.

At Tandem Health we're building a clinician copilot to allow clinicians to focus on care rather than administration. We’re building, launching and iterating quickly, and already have more than ~100~ 200 organizations using our product.
Our core product listens in to the patient-clinician encounter to generate medical records, allowing clinicians to save 5-10 minutes per patient. No longer do clinicians have to catch up on administration after hours. Some even tell us that their partners notice they're much more relaxed after starting to use our product, and we couldn't be happier :)
We’re expanding our Stockholm team with exceptional engineers! We use Python (backend), TypeScript/React (frontend) and C# (Windows app) and our infrastructure runs on Kubernetes in Azure.
Even if we don’t have a role out for your specific skill set, we’d love to talk! Our tech team is small but growing and you’ll have an outsized impact on an important problem.

Come work with us on Brilliant, the most capable agentic AI code editor to date. We're putting the finishing touches on it - join us and help us ship!
We're looking for someone with frontend / fullstack skills, with at least 3 and preferably 5 or more years of experience. It would be beneficial to have additional experience with any of the following: IDE and IDE extension development, cloud development environments, platform engineering, AWS/GCP/K8s/containers, devops, WASM, "prompt engineering", and of course LLM usage and development. Skill with wielding AI dev tools as a user would be a very big plus.
We're located in Jackson Square in San Francisco, and this role would be on-site four days per week. We cannot sponsor visas at this time, and you should either be in the SF Bay Area already or able to relocate here by the end of January.
About Accretional - I [0] left Google in March to better integrate LLMs into developers' workflows. I though most products and startups in the space were either being way too ambitious with what they were claiming to build, or building things that weren't adding much more value than just integrating a chat interface. I still think that. Brilliant is our first product, and we have more to come. I'm the founder, we have one full time employee, and a couple part time employees. You'll have the opportunity to join us very early on with all the excitement and hat wearing that entails!
Contact: jobs at accretional dot com [1]. Please add a brief description of how you currently use AI dev tools.

[1] You might notice if you visit our website that it kind of sucks. That's why we need someone like you with frontend skills! Brilliant itself is in a better shape, but we really need a frontend expert to help us make it something our users will love.
