Looking for: Automotive experience, Full-Stack, AI/ML, Data Engineers
Stack: React Native/Expo, Next.js, Hono, Cloudflare Workers, PostgreSQL, TypeScript everywhere
Carma (https://www.joincarma.com/) is an AI-native operating system for enterprise fleet operations. Fortune 500 construction, electrical, and disaster restoration fleets run thousands of commercial vehicles on our platform in production today. When a truck breaks down, gets recalled, or sits idle, our software detects it, builds the workflow, and drives it to resolution automatically. Ship a feature in the morning; a fleet manager in the field is using it within the hour.
Why it's technically interesting: real-world software with messy, adversarial data — telematics streams, OEM recall feeds, vendor invoices, DOT compliance — fused into workflows that AI agents execute. The incumbents in this multi-billion-dollar market ship on decade-old stacks. We raised a $5.5M seed from Y Combinator, Soma Capital, and the founders of Superhuman, and we're driving toward a Series A.
Stack: TypeScript end-to-end — React, NestJS, PostgreSQL + Prisma, AWS.
Two founding roles, both heavy on ownership:
1) Founding Head of Engineering: $300K–$450K + 3–5% equity. Hands-on technical leader: the majority of your time writing production code, plus owning architecture, standards, and technical direction. Explicitly not a people-management track.
2) Founding Full-Stack Engineer: $175K–$275K + 2–3% equity. Own product surfaces end-to-end: ambiguous problem statement → scoped design → shipped to enterprise users.
Onsite in SF six days a week, early-stage pace, high ownership and high expectations. Our process is fast, strong candidates go from first conversation to offer in days, not months.
Email suleyman@joincarma.com with 2–3 lines on the hardest system you've shipped end-to-end. We reply to every thoughtful email within 24 hours.
Looking for a Sacramento/Bay Area full stack engineer to join our team here at UpMetrics! This role is primarily remote with occasional meetups (1-2x/month) in Sacramento with our Director of Engineering.
UpMetrics provides an impact reporting platform and expert services designed to help mission-driven organizations and funders leverage data to accelerate social change. By combining innovative technology with community building, we empower partners to collect insights, secure capital, and share compelling stories to achieve their goals.
Stack: Ruby (flexible if you know Python), JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue (or React, Svelte)
Looking for: 6+ YOE, startup experience
Check out the full job description & apply here: https://jobs.lever.co/UpMetrics/62b78791-e881-44c7-bf21-c82b...
(Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. UpMetrics is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.)
I'm the hiring manager for this role, which is for an IC tech lead. Please see the full job description for details, but I'm looking for someone who is comfortable leading engineering discovery and working with Product on roadmap planning within the API payroll integrations space. The most important thing in this role will be driving your own pace and taking projects from inception to completion. A successful candidate will be good at working efficiently without many hard deadlines or micromanagement. We also want someone who has strong systems design experience and good technical leadership skills. In terms of tech stack, it's mostly Python and Typescript, including nest.js
Our interview process is pretty straightforward. There's a phone screen with our recruiter, then a culture fit/qualifying interview with my boss, a technical interview with a real-world problem (no leetcode), and finally a cross-functional team interview with myself and another engineering leader at my company. We move pretty quickly and aim to keep the process respectful of everyone's time. Happy to answer any questions here! If you'd like to apply, please email recruiting [at] vestwell [dot] com with your resume.
Babou turns your product into marketing: every time you ship, it watches your deploys, designs, and docs and builds the campaign (ads, demos, social, launch videos). Small team with users and real revenue.
Stack: TypeScript everywhere, Next.js front, Node + Postgres back, heavy media job processing, and a lot of AI agents running in production.
Looking for: agents are how you ship code, and you know when an LLM is wrong. You move fast without shipping slop. You've built large production systems and kept them running.
Apply: email careers@babou.ai with your GitHub, a writeup of something you've shipped, and how you work with agents day to day. https://babou.ai/careers

Please send a short note about yourself and links to things you have built.
Felt Clinic is building the first embedded care SDK for health apps. Our mission is to make access to a doctor simple and secure inside any mobile application. We want teams to stop worrying about provider contracting and focus on building awesome experiences. We're looking for a NextJS Engineer to help us scale our platform. You’ll be developing powerful SDKs and APIs, integrating real-time communication tools, and shaping next-generation digital health experiences.
Tech Stack:
- Mobile: SwiftUI (iOS), Kotlin (Android), Ionic
- Web: Next.js, Turborepo, TypeScript
- Communication: WebRTC
What sets exceptional candidates apart:
- Hands-on experience working on mobile platforms (Swift/Kotlin)
- Expert with Next.js and RSC
- Stoked about healthcare experiences
- Deep expertise in full-stack product development
Felt has three name-brand Apps actively using our SDKs and anticipating approximately $10m ARR by late 2026. We’re backed by leading investors including 1984, Scrum Ventures, and Tau Ventures. Join us as we scale to build next-gen HealthKit on steroids.
Quin is an agentic platform to (finally!) solve personal finance for people. It is a consumer-focused company.
I spent 13 years in private banking and have been working on Quin alone for about 15 months. I built 6 different prototypes to test different approaches. I've spent the last few weeks working with testers on the latest version and solidifying GTM. I need someone to take over engineering with a focus on building the backend and data layers that will support our agentic approach to personal finance.
Georgetown. UCLA (MBA). Ex-JPMorgan.
Traction: Prototype with testers
The role: You're the first engineering hire. This is about shipping the workflows that will become the product that users will trust and the data layer that can support an agent in the future.
You'll own backend architecture decisions from day one. Contract-first development (TypeScript contracts repo as source of truth), FastAPI, Supabase/Postgres, Groq for LLM inference. The stack is clean and the codebase is small.
Who I'm looking for: A full-stack engineer with a preference for backend. 5+ years backend engineering; Python / FastAPI preferred. Strong data modeling instincts — you've designed schemas that had to scale. Experience with multi-tenant data architectures. Comfort operating without process. Finance domain familiarity a plus, not a requirement. Comfort and experience using AI tools and incorporating new ideas quickly.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to take a CTO/co-founder role and define the full technical path.
Comp: Salary post-raise and meaningful equity. TBH, finding this role (either version) will be important for rasisng capital given that I do not have a technical background and fintech is complicated by regulations. I'm ok with part-time in the meantime if that's what it requires.
Email quin@iamquin.ai with the primary reason this interests you and the top two reasons why you should be considered (don't worry about a resume at this point).
We're a 5-person startup building software for cemetery & public-records management: municipalities managing data for real families. Broad, hands-on IC role with real product and infra ownership.
Stack: NestJS/TypeScript, PostgreSQL + PostGIS, MikroORM, Inngest · React + TanStack Query, MapLibre + PMTiles · React Native + Expo · AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, Bedrock, WAF) + Terraform · Grafana/Sentry · QGIS/GeoPackage geospatial.
You: 8+ yrs production, full-stack TS, owned a Terraform/AWS stack (not just consumed one), strong relational DB fundamentals, comfortable with no playbook. Bonus: PostGIS, RN/Expo, RLS/multi-tenancy, LLM, B2B/B2G.
We lean hard on AI tooling and expect you to: but the bar is human-reviewed, well-tested code; "the model said it worked" isn't a defence. Remote by design, quarterly offsites.

We’re building tools for storytellers, worldbuilders, writers, and creators.
We’re looking for a Design Engineer who can design and build polished product experiences end-to-end. You should care deeply about taste, interaction, motion, and frontend craft, but also understand enough about APIs, auth, and data flow to avoid getting blocked.
We’re AI-native, but not trying to replace human creativity. We use tools like Cursor and Claude Code as leverage to move faster while keeping a high quality bar.
Strong fit if you’ve shipped real things, can go from rough idea to polished implementation without waiting for perfect specs, and have built interfaces that feel good, not just functional.

We work with robots that run biology experiments. The robots are accurate, but programming them by hand takes so long that most labs don't bother. So we wrote a compiler and visual editor a scientist can use. They describe their protocol in plain language, we parse it into a structured format, and compile that to optimized code. Our end goal is to build the infrastructure for autonomous science and a centralized cloud lab. Short demo: https://tinyurl.com/mrx63phb
The team is three software engineers, an automation engineer, the founders, and soon a designer. The codebase is one monorepo containing an OCaml compiler, Python backend services, and a TypeScript/React editor. The challenges come in the form of eliciting scientific context and tacit knowledge and in the fact that a protocol has to deterministically run correctly.
We are looking for at least 3 years of experience. OCaml isn't a requirement, just a willingness to learn it. Nice if you've done DSLs, compilers, life sciences or lab automation, an ML-family language, or LLM parsing and evals.

What happens when you get a number wrong?
In most systems, you log an error and move on. At Anyfin, a wrong number is someone's loan application.
We're a profitable Swedish fintech that helps people refinance expensive consumer loans at better rates. Small team, regulated industry, which sounds like a recipe for slow, cautious engineering. It's the opposite. The regulation sets the floor, not the ceiling. Above that floor, we experiment, ship, break, learn, and ship again.
We're building real-time credit decisions using ML models on GKE, Go and Python on the decision layer, TypeScript/Node.js on the API, React on the frontend, BigQuery and dbt for data. Interesting stack, interesting problems, and because we're small, you're close to all of it.
Our co-founder Sven is back leading eng and hiring directly. No recruiter chain, no committee. Short feedback loops. Real ownership. No one to hide behind.
Roles: Senior Backend · Full-Stack · Cloud · Data Engineer
GCs routinely overbill 10-15% on change orders, and owners have no systematic way to catch it. CO-Ver is building software to help owners and developers review, validate, and challenge construction change orders before they pay them.
The product combines document ingestion, scope/cost comparison, estimate review workflows, and LLM-assisted analysis with human estimators in the loop. MVP is nearing completion. We're targeting production by mid-July, self-funded, intentionally small, and working directly with customers in a painful, expensive, and underserved market. You'll work with the founders and fractional CTO, have a real voice in product and architecture decisions, and receive early-stage equity.
Open roles: Fullstack SWE ($125k-$155k): 3+ years, strong TypeScript, React/Next.js, solid data modeling, interest in LLM-assisted workflows
Senior Fullstack SWE ($150k-$175k): 5+ years, deep TypeScript, production Next.js/multi-tenant SaaS/LLM features, comfortable owning architecture decisions
Nice to have: Convex, Clerk, Tailwind v4, PDF pipelines, construction domain knowledge
Stack: Next.js · React 19 · TypeScript · Convex · Clerk · Tailwind v4 · Anthropic API · Vercel · GitHub Actions
Email recruiting@co-ver.com with [hn] in the subject. Thank you!
Company: We’re building a geologic modelling software, based on reasoning, to help mining and mineral exploration companies work faster. Our goal is to create a way to enable open-ended, interpretive geologic problem solving to be done programmatically, changing the way to explore for hard rock and critical minerals. Currently in active fundraising.
Role: You are the founding engineer on the team, joining co-founder (Neil, CEO) and myself (Jeff, CTO) as first employee. You’ll have a deep influence over systems and architecture. You will have ownership through the entire stack from the database, through geostatistical backend services, through 3D rendering on the client side.
Work rooted in agentic systems, so an understanding of the internals of things like Claude Code, and a broader understanding of orchestrating agents to complete complex discrete tasks is important.
You:
- Fluent in Typescript, Python, and framework/tooling agnostic (Currently using things like NextJS, Supabase, Cesium)
- Eager to learn about mining domain knowledge around the software.
- Ownership of the codebase, and the systems that support the software (project management, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)
- Strong engineering fundamentals around architecture, systems and security.
- Open to doing a yearly month abroad with Neil and I. Last year, it was Oaxaca, Mexico.
Apply: Shoot me an email at jeff@deepcoretech.com with a resume, and a short blurb about yourself. If you include a 1 minute video/Loom, I'd love to see it. Must be eligible to work in Canada without a VISA requirement. We are located in Squamish, BC.
Full-Stack Engineer with 3+ years of experience building production-ready React/TypeScript systems for SaaS, fintech, AI workflow, and data-heavy products.
I’m strongest in frontend-focused full-stack work: polished React/Next.js product interfaces, dashboards, auth flows, protected routes, API integrations, database-backed features, Stripe billing, deployment, QA, and debugging the production issues behind the UI.
Recent projects include MindPad AI, Flowstate, AtlasBrief, GeoRisk, and EchoRoom. These are not basic portfolio clones — they include real auth, payments, persistence, AI-assisted workflows, dashboards, billing logic, team flows, and deployed production-style architecture.
I’m looking for remote Frontend Engineer, Full-Stack Engineer, React Engineer, or Software Engineer roles where I can own real product work end-to-end and contribute quickly.

We're a tiny team building a field-service-management platform for AES, an environmental-test-chamber manufacturer. One senior lead, one part-time backend specialist, and we're hiring a summer intern. The product is pre-production with active user feedback driving the build — you'll ship features that real service coordinators and field technicians will use day-to-day.
The bar is NOT raw coding ability. We use Claude Code for all code generation. The bar is the ability to direct an AI at production engineering and catch it when it's wrong: schema literacy, diff-reading, end-to-end ownership.
Stack: Next.js 14 (App Router, RSC, Server Actions), TypeScript strict, Prisma + Postgres, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, NextAuth, Twilio, Anthropic SDK, Playwright. ~100K lines of TS with `any` banned by lint.
Must-haves: a track record building with AI tools (link your best AI-built work — a PR, a deployed project, or a repo, ideally with a CLAUDE.md), at least one shipped end-to-end project that runs somewhere a stranger can use, schema/data-flow literacy, clear written communication, strong academic record. TypeScript fluency NOT required from scratch.
Eligibility: US person, able to pass standard background check. We can't sponsor visas or hire F-1/OPT for this role.
Logistics: 20–40 hrs/wk flex, Mon–Fri, remote with occasional in-person days at AES Chelmsford MA or our coworking space in Waltham MA. W-2, paid hourly. Apps close June 8.
No leetcode. No whiteboard. Show us your best AI-built work — a PR, a deployed app, or a repo. Apply: https://tally.so/r/44pNxX
We’re building a complex data labeling platform for AV and robotics teams working with multi-sensor data: images, point clouds, sequential data, and 3D scenes.
We’re hiring a Senior Product Engineer to help us ship the core web product faster and improve the quality of customer-facing labeling workflows.
Tech stack: Vue/React, TypeScript, Three.js/WebGL/WebGPU, TinyBase, Django.
You can help us solve problems like: - Making 2D and 3D annotation workflows faster, more precise, and easier to use - Designing point cloud tiling, autosave, undo/redo, review, filtering, and issue-tracking workflows that hold up under real labeling operations - Improving performance where milliseconds matter: rendering, local state updates, preloading, and geometric operations - Shaping API contracts, data models, permissions, background jobs, and operational tooling as the platform scales
This is a senior role with high ownership on a small team. To apply, please reach out to bert@segments.ai (we recently got acquired by Uber) with a resume and mention HN in your application.
We at neocom are building shop agents for online retailers. Customers can chat naturally, get clear guidance, and find the right product faster, just like talking to a great, opinionated salesperson in a physical store or like chatting with an LLM, that actually knows about the products in the shop and has an opinion about them. We are based in Munich with a strong onsite culture (not full time).
We've been in the guided selling space for the past 6 years and launched our new product, the Shop Agent, last year in November. Our customers who are already on this new product are loving it and demand more and more features.
We are now looking for founding frontend engineers who can help our engineering team (4 people + 2 starting in September). We consider our selfs as craftsman, who care a lot about quality. A lot. We have a classic TypeScript + React.js stack with a lot of cypress.

Stpkr Technologies is hiring for the following roles to build the next generation of wearable devices.
We are currently looking for the following 4 roles but we are also open to interviewing any candidates who feel like they will do their best work here - even if your skillset/experience doesn't fit the current defined roles. Our current team doesn't fit the conventional mold, and we don't expect our future hires will either. If you don't fit the advertised roles, just send us a mail per the same process with whatever job title would fit you the best.
Work is in person near Noida Sector 18, walking distance from Sector 18 Metro Station. We prefer in office work, but we are super flexible overall, it will be hands down one of the best work environments you can get. Pay is competitive, and there are opportunities to earn meaningful equity down the line. We prefer current and recent undergraduates for our roles. If you are still in college we welcome you to apply nonetheless provided you can work as an intern for us in person. Super-flexible overall and all of our current team started out as interns.
Hiring across OS, full-stack, and hardware. AI policy across all roles: you should be able to do the work without AI, and much faster with it.
Android Systems Engineer (AOSP/BSP) - Everything at the OS layer. You've rooted phones, flashed custom ROMs, broken and fixed Linux for fun. Comfortable in C/C++. GitHub with kernel-adjacent or LineageOS-type projects a plus. Stack: Android, Linux, C, C++, Java. _Filter: send us something you built where you had to fight the OS or hardware.
Full-Stack Engineer (Apps + Backend + ML) - Everything at the platform layer. Generalist who ships end-to-end. Skill check: can build a crude-but-working facial recognition system (camera → model → DB → backend). (using existing facial recog models) Bonus for weird/constrained hardware work or running ML on edge devices. Stack: Android, Java, Python, TypeScript. _Filter: send the most useful thing you've built and used (no CRUD slop). Even better if you still use it for yourself.
Hardware Engineer - Bring-up/Debug/Integration - Take EVT/DVT boards and make them work. Comfortable with J-Link and IDE debugging, reading schematics and reference designs. KiCad/Altium/EasyEDA hobby work would make you ideal. PetaLinux experience or hunger to learn it. ECE undergrad fine. _Filter: photo of a board you designed or debugged, plus what went wrong.
Hardware Engineer - Power/RF/Wireless - Make the power and RF paths behave on EVT/DVT boards. Hands-on with schematic capture, layout, soldering, scope/logic analyzer. Given two unknowns, you pick one and start measuring. _Filter: sensor fusion work, how noise behaves across protocols, and SPI debug chops.
Founder's Office - Work closely with the founder and the rest of the team to manage the day to day and long term affairs of the company, the Man Friday of the company. Must have a decent degree of technical knowledge (we are a tech company after all) and be efficient at administrative tasks as well as management. Speed and learning ability are prized here, there will not always be a clear path to the work you have to do here, so you will have to figure some of it out on your own.
To apply, contact arnav@stpkr.in with the subject line "HN - Human" and a brief intro for further communication. Attach any documents you deem useful there. Please include the role you are applying for at the top of the email if it is one of the above mentioned, otherwise whatever role fits you best. Shortlisting will be online, interviews will be in person. We are hiring quickly, expect to hear back from us within 2-3 days of applying. If you don't, assume you will not. Thanks for your time!
We are hiring software engineers who enjoy solving important real-world problems and working close to hardware; who learn new domains quickly and prefer practical solutions over over-engineered systems or unnecessary complexity. The world doesn't need another ERP. CoPlane is building the Agentic Orchestration platform that enables enterprises to orchestrate intelligent processes across their existing systems. Founded by ex-Stripe/Segment product and tech leads, we're changing how businesses operate their backoffice - helping them scale intelligence not headcount.
We're looking for an exceptional product engineer to grow our small team of engineers that include ex-founders, open source contributors (authors of neovim and neverthrow), and architects of petabyte-scale data platforms.
We are looking for someone that wants to own product features end to end (Python + Typescript/React) but is particularly spiky on frontend and UI. You'll build a platform for billion-dollar enterprises solving their hardest, most mission-critical automation problems.
If you're excited about working at the nexus of data, automation and AI, and want to make a significant impact in an early, well-capitalized startup with large enterprise design partners, we'd love to hear from you.
Roles: Product Engineer.

Company: We're a small scientific software development company that develops custom scientific and engineering analysis applications in domains including: space situational awareness (monitoring the locations, health and status of on-orbit satellites), image simulation, high power microwave systems, modeling and simulation, laser systems modeling, AI/ML including physics-informed neural networks (PINN), human body thermoregulation, computer vision and image processing, high performance computing (HPC), computer aided design (CAD), and more. All exciting applications and no CRUD. We emphasize high quality code and lightweight processes that free software engineers to be productive.
Experience: Except for interns, we currently require a Bachelors degree in physics, engineering, math, computer science, or a related field. Masters or PhD is a plus. (Roughly 25% of our staff have PhDs.)
Technologies: Lots of C++23, Qt 6.9, CMake, git, OpenGL, CUDA, Boost, Jenkins. Windows and Linux, msvc/gcc/clang/clangcl. AI/ML and analysis projects use Python and C++. Web projects use Java and Typescript/React. We're a bit behind the curve on developer AI adoption, and we're okay with that.

Opaxa is the AI agent platform that runs restaurant back-office operations. Not another dashboard — agents that take the work off the operator's plate and act: build the schedule and push it to action, place the order with distributors, audit the invoice for overcharges, draft the review reply. The operator approves what matters; the rest gets done.
The unfair part: the founder owns and runs a 40-location restaurant company with over 750 employee's — so Opaxa's first customer is a real, operating restaurant group with real data and real stakes from day one. Deep domain expertise is built in, and your work runs in real restaurants immediately, not after a six-month hunt for a design partner. Well-funded.
A working prototype is already built. Now I'm hiring a founding full-stack engineer to take it from prototype to production: own the architecture, the agent runtime, the backend, and the integrations the agents act through (Toast, Paycom, Sysco, and more), set the technical bar, and grow the team behind you.
You'd work directly with me — I own product, customers, and the domain; you own the AI and the build. We'd be hiring additional engineers and account managers within the first year.
You're a fit if you: - have shipped agentic systems to production — plan-and-act, not chatbots or wrappers - are a strong full-stack builder (Python and/or Node, Postgres, real infra) - use the latest AI tooling (Claude Code / Cursor) as your default want to own a whole product as the first engineer, and eventually lead
Stack: React/TypeScript, Python/Node, Postgres, the Anthropic API, integrations across the restaurant stack.
To apply: email me at colton@opaxa.ai with the most impressive agentic system you've personally shipped — what it did, what you owned, and what made it hard — plus your resume or links. I read every one and reply. Please write it yourself; if it's clearly AI-generated, I'll pass.
At Factory we build Droids, autonomous software development agents that review PRs, implement features, run tests, fix incidents, and handle migrations for enterprise engineering teams. Droid is model agnostic and surface agnostic, and works across your CLI, IDE, Web/Desktop app, CI/CD, Slack, and Linear. Customers include Nvidia, Adobe, Adyen, Klarna, and Ernst & Young.
We raised a $150M Series C at a $1.5B valuation, backed by Khosla Ventures, Sequoia, Blackstone, Insight Partners, NEA, and NVIDIA.
We're hiring across the stack:
- AI Engineer: agentic systems, LLM integrations, evals
- Fullstack Engineer: platform, APIs, auth, billing, terminal UIs
- Frontend Engineer: web and desktop apps (React, TypeScript, Electron)
- Platform Engineer: infrastructure, sandboxing, CI/CD, cloud
- Product Engineer: end-to-end feature ownership
- Data Engineer: pipelines, analytics, telemetry at scale
- Security Engineer / Research Engineer
Stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js/Bun, Python, GCP/AWS, Firestore, Electron.
We're also hiring in these roles: Enterprise & Mid-Market AEs, Solutions Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Product Marketing, Product Manager, Product Designer, Partnerships, and Operations (RevOps, BizOps, People Ops, Recruiting). Some roles available in NYC and London.
In-office 5 days a week in SF (walking distance to Caltrain). Catered lunch and dinner, full medical/dental/vision, 401(k).

Paymail is an invoicing and money transferring service over email. Because it's alot easier to send $50 to email@example.org than to send it to a long series of digits representing a branch and account number. In a way Paymail is an internet native payments competitor to x402.org. I'm the founder and I'm on a mission to make every bank your email provider. I spent the last year working for a banking outsourcing company and it gave me some good insights into what's possible in the FinTech world. I'm currently searching for a React+Typescript developer with good design instincts to give a huge chunk of equity to and become a cofounder of the company working with a well written medium sized React+Typescript codebase that represents our product.
Startups are busy but to get the product to an MVP stage is not very far away at all so it would suit someone looking for a potentially profitable side hustle or on a full time basis as well.

Hey HN! I'm Alexander, one of the founders of Hatchet. Hatchet is an open-source platform for running background jobs at scale.
We're hiring engineers who are excited to build the next class of engineering primitives, starting with queues, background tasks and durable execution. We started in early 2024 after launching our distributed task queue (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39643136).
Hatchet is currently used by thousands of engineers for all kinds of workloads: log ingestion pipelines, code review agents, video encoding, GPU scheduling, etc. Our target customer is fast-growing startups who have a strong need for background jobs system. These days, that tends to be AI companies, though we're general-purpose and not exclusively targeted for AI workloads.
Stack: Postgres, Go, Typescript, React, Kubernetes
Applying: email me at alexander@hatchet.run and tell me about something impressive you've built, along with your CV and why you're interested in Hatchet.
Note that we're fully open-source, which you can check out here: https://github.com/hatchet-dev/hatchet (and if you have thoughts / opinions / questions about the codebase, please include those in your note!)
We're hiring two senior roles:
1) Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (7+ yrs) TypeScript/Node + React on the front of the house; data ingestion pipelines processing millions of records and flexible schemas across wildly different company types on the back. You'll own projects end-to-end, scope with cross-functional partners, and ship both customer-facing and internal tooling. Bonus: GraphQL, GCP/AWS/Azure, Terraform/DevOps.
2) Senior Data Scientist + ML Engineer (6+ yrs) Own ML/AI problems from definition through production: classification, information extraction, entity resolution, ranking, anomaly detection, plus LLM systems (prompts, retrieval, tool-calling, eval). Python (NumPy/Pandas/sklearn/PyTorch), strong SQL, and real production deployment experience. Bonus: synthetic data, RAG, experience fine-tuning LLMs.
Both are senior, high-autonomy roles--you should be comfortable breaking ambiguous requirements into iterative deliverables and reading unfamiliar code. Not a fit if you want heavy mentorship or detailed specs handed to you.

AI data centers are creating a massive new wave of electricity demand, and the grid is already stretched. Strobe is building an autonomous power company to help meet that demand: software that turns buildings, batteries, EVs, and generators into a distributed power plant that can buy, sell, and dispatch electricity in real time.
We’re a 6-person, well-funded team backed by top investors. This is early, high-ownership, and very real-world: the software you build will control physical assets and move money in energy markets. We are the only company actively trading distributed power in New York - the space is entirely new and unlocked by recent FERC regulation.
I’m looking for a staff engineer to own the data integrations and cloud infrastructure that make the whole system work. That means connecting to utilities, grid operators, OEM hardware, weather providers, and our optimization engine — then making sure it all runs reliably when market events are happening and dollars are on the line.
You’d work on things like:
* Wholesale market integrations with NYISO, CAISO, ERCOT: pricing, capacity markets, dispatch signals * OEM hardware integrations for monitoring, control, and telemetry * Utility data pipelines, including Green Button Connect / ESPI, interval usage, billing, and meter data from utilities like ConEd, PG&E, and SCE * Weather forecast pipelines feeding our scheduling engine * Event-driven AWS infrastructure using Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync/GraphQL, EventBridge, IoT Core, Timestream, Amplify, and CloudWatch * Terraform IaC, observability, alerting, and the reliability work needed when downtime has real financial consequences
Good fit if you have deep AWS experience, have used Terraform seriously in production, and write a lot of Python. Energy experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with utilities, government APIs, OEMs, hardware, telemetry, or other “real world is messy” systems is very relevant.
Stack: Python, TypeScript, Rust, Terraform, AWS, GraphQL/AppSync, MQTT, Grafana. We use an AI-agent-optimized monorepo and are investing heavily in agent-enabled engineering efficiency.
Small team, no layers, high trust.

We are actively hiring and will reply to applicants.
We secure the SaaS apps companies actually run on: M365, Salesforce, and hundreds more. You’d be on the Threat product team working full-stack. That means browser extension code (content/background scripts, manifest v3, message passing), backend services chewing through millions of events, and the data pipelines feeding our detection engine. One day you’re in TypeScript debugging why a content script won’t capture form submissions on some vendor’s weird SPA. The next you’re in Python fixing a Kafka consumer that’s falling behind. Sometimes you’re in Rust optimizing a hot path in the telemetry collector.
Big current focus is shadow AI, i.e. catching when employees paste sensitive data into ChatGPT, Claude, or whatever LLM showed up this week. You’d build the systems that detect it.
Looking for ~8+ yrs experience, real browser knowledge (DOM, event loop, SPA routing, CORS, not just “I used React”), prior browser extension work, strong TypeScript, comfortable in Python, willing to write Rust, plus data-at-scale chops (event streaming, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Kafka). Bonus: AI security (prompt injection, exfiltration), detection engineering/SIEM, or security tooling.

We're a software engineering consultancy that builds enterprise software the right way. We negotiate the right to open source all our client code, maintain a handful of popular libraries, and our engineers contribute to Django core. We sponsor PyCon, DjangoCon, and Django Girls because we're invested in the ecosystem we build on.
We're looking for software engineers who value software design, system architecture, and collaboration. You should be strong in most of these areas: web application security, relational database design (PostgreSQL query plans, indexes, and constraints, not whatever the ORM emits), Django internals, React, and distributed systems. What you'll actually work on: complex state machines for financial workflows, multi-tenant architectures with row-level security, custom database functions when the ORM isn't enough, and React frontends that handle real-time data without being a mess of useEffect race conditions.
A note on how we work: we think deeply about the systems we build, and we believe understanding comes from doing the work yourself, not from handing it to a model. If you ship code you don't understand, we're genuinely not a fit, and that's fine. If that paragraph made you nod, we want to hear from you.
We're a small team where you'll own features end-to-end (database design to React components) and have opportunities to shape technical decisions. You'll work with a team that practices empathy and values work-life balance. If you've ever wished your job involved more elegant state machines and fewer marketing landing pages, let's talk: info@fusionbox.com.
I'm Nick, CTO & co-founder. We're Rippling, but for insurance carriers paying their sales force. Every policy sold triggers a chain of payouts across brokers, agents, and sub-agents. Today that runs on spreadsheets and legacy vendor systems and tomorrow they'll run on Chestnut. Nationwide and other major carriers have already made the switch.
Revenue is up 8x in the last year. We're backed by a16z. Founding team came out of leadership at Ethos (insuretech that recently IPO'd in January).
The work is state-heavy and correctness-critical: payouts that must reconcile with finance to the cent, dynamic agent hierarchies, retries, chargebacks, partial failures. These systems move real money and cannot drift.
You'll design schemas, build backend logic, ship UI, deploy, and own the sharp edges that show up with real enterprise customers.
Stack: Go, TypeScript/React, Postgres, Temporal, Kubernetes, AWS. We use AI aggressively and expect you to as well.
We're looking for 3–6 years on real product systems. You're thoughtful about invariants and failure modes.

DrSwarm is building AI-driven workflow automation for healthcare clinics / health systems (scheduling, RCM/billing workflows, patient ops). This is a true 0→1 role: ship fast, talk to customers, own systems end-to-end.
You will: - Build product end-to-end (Next.js + Django) - Ship integrations + workflow automation (APIs, webhooks, background jobs, queues) - Own reliability (logs/metrics, retries, failure modes) and pragmatic security (HIPAA-aware)
Stack: Next.js, React/TypeScript, Django/Python, Postgres, Celery/Redis, Docker, AWS/DigitalOcean, LLM APIs.
Looking for: Strong full-stack builder. Good to work with. Can talk to customers / users / salespeople. Uses AI to generate 90%+ of their code, interested in AI + Healthcare.
Comp: Market with mix of base + bonus + meaningful equity Process: 30m intro → 60m technical/product deep dive → short paid work trial → references. I (founder) read every email and reply.
Contact: jobs@drswarm.com (include “HN Founding Engineer” in subject) + GitHub/LinkedIn + 2–3 projects you’re proud of.
We're a small, research-driven, VC-backed team building NeoHuman: a desktop-first system that observes how people actually use AI tools, files, and workflows during real tasks, and turns those sessions into reliable evaluation evidence. We care about the process, not just the final answer — what someone typed, what they copied, what they verified, how they moved across apps.
We've published the AgentIF-OneDay benchmark. Now we're scaling the capture and evaluation infrastructure underneath it.
You'd own: - Cross-platform desktop capture across macOS + Windows (AX/UIA trees, OCR, clipboard, keyboard/mouse boundaries, file interactions) - Trace fusion — turning noisy low-level signals into clean human-readable session timelines - The evaluation evidence pipeline (data model, ingestion, exports) - LLM normalization that summarizes traces without hallucinating or hiding evidence quality - Privacy/consent/proctoring safety for enterprise customers
We want an AI-native engineer: - 3+ years shipping production TypeScript + Node.js - Built or shipped Electron + native helpers - Strong PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, data quality) - Comfortable with OS APIs, permissions, background processes - Hands-on LLM API experience (structured output, evaluation, hallucination control) - Uses Claude Code, Cursor, or similar as a daily working medium — not a side experiment - Bonus: macOS AX / ScreenCaptureKit / CGEventTap, Windows UIA, or you've studied/built things like Screenpipe, OpenAdapt, Rewind, OpenChronicle
Stack: TypeScript · Node.js · Electron · native macOS/Windows · Next.js 15 · React 19 · Postgres + Supabase · OCR · Accessibility APIs · OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini · Vercel · GitHub Actions
Why us: Hard, unusual problem at the boundary of OS internals, multimodal capture, and AI evaluation. Small team, technical founders who code daily, real ownership of the capture stack. We hire on demonstrated capability, not credentials.
Apply: email jack@emergences.ai with your resume and a brief note about a system you've built — desktop software, AI infra, data pipelines, evaluation, or low-level debugging. Subject: "Your Name — AI / Systems Engineer". Please mention HN in the email.
Scribd, Inc. is on a mission to advance human understanding. Our four products — Scribd®, Slideshare®, Everand™, and Fable — help billions of people across the globe move beyond access and into insight, application, and expertise. We're a YC '06 company — one of the oldest still around — running one of the largest Ruby on Rails sites, serving 200M+ unique visitors a month with 2M+ paying subscribers.
I'm hiring a PM to own our *AI Developer Platform* — the internal product 200+ engineers build on every day. The platform spans the full agentic stack: the tools in each engineer's hands (Claude Code), a plugin marketplace and a library of skills that extend them, an internal app platform and agent runtime that teams build on, and the evals, canonical context, and conventions that make agents reliable across a polyglot codebase (Ruby, Go, TypeScript, Python; AWS/Databricks). You'll own the product strategy for developer experience and how we measure it, partnering directly with the Developer Platform and Data Platform engineering teams who build the underlying capabilities.
We're looking for a highly technical PM — quite possibly a former engineer — who is genuinely passionate about how developer platforms are evolving in the age of AI. You've shipped real products with modern agentic primitives (agents, evals, tool use, MCP, plugins/skills), and you can hold your own with engineers in technical discussions. This is the first PM seat at Scribd pointed inward, in a brand-new domain with no playbook to inherit. Reports to me (Director, Developer Platform).
Friendly, people-first, engineering-driven culture with competitive salary, great benefits, and real work-life balance.
Apply: https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ScribdInc/ff2680ea-9a6d-436d-bdb0-3... — or email me directly at cktaylor at scribd.com (I've hired off these threads before). Recruiters/agencies, please don't.
LLMs hallucinate, so they can't be the thing producing your numbers. In Kepler, the LLM orchestrates (decides what data to gather, what to compute, how to structure the output), but the model never touches the data itself. Every actual value flows through deterministic code pipelines with provenance metadata back to source. Verification loops cross-check outputs before users see them.
We started in finance because tolerance for wrong answers is zero. First product is a research platform for buy-side analysts: pull comparables, build models, research filings. Same architecture extends to chemicals, legal, healthcare. Models are commoditizing fast; the trust layer is what's missing.
If you want the deeper architecture writeup, Anthropic just published a case study on Kepler: https://claude.com/blog/how-kepler-built-verifiable-ai-for-f...
What you'd build:
- Source-explorer UI that traces any value back to its exact origin in the original document - Extraction pipeline for a data source we don't yet handle, with provenance and verification from day one - Agent orchestrator that handles partial failures so a bad extraction from one source doesn't block parallel work - Verification rules that cross-check values across multiple sources and surface conflicts with provenance on both sides
Stack: Rust backend (orchestration, extraction, computation), TypeScript/React frontend, PostgreSQL, AWS. Model-agnostic, currently Claude + GPT. We don't require Rust experience; we hire on fundamentals.
Looking for 5 years production experience, strong in TypeScript/React, comfortable in backend work. Bonus if you've built systems where correctness mattered (payments, data infra, healthcare, anything where a wrong output has consequences). Distributed systems basics: concurrency, fault tolerance, retries, idempotency.
Founding team is 40+ combined years at Palantir building Foundry's core systems (Ontology, Fusion, Workshop, FoundryML). CEO scaled a data company to $15M ARR, sold it, then ran Business Engineering at Citadel. Backed by founders of OpenAI, Meta AI Research, MotherDuck, dbt Labs.
In-office NYC.

You may know us from our open-source roots (Fluentd/Embulk.) We’re an enterprise CDP and agentic experience platform that unifies fragmented customer data from multiple sources and allows for complex marketing workflows. Our engineering team is distributed across Canada, Japan, and the USA.
We need three Staff Engineers (two in Tokyo, one in Vancouver) to act as technical anchors. You’ll be a great fit if you’re a backend/distributed systems engineer who can architect a clean React frontend, or a pure distributed systems specialist happy to collaborate across the full stack.
The roles primarily deal with architecting systems to process and personalize massive marketing datasets in near real time, with a strong emphasis on being able to work cross functionally to deliver best-in-class agentic interactions deeply integrated with our systems.
Our core stack is Rails, Typescript/Lambda, React, and Kotlin.
How to apply:
* Staff Fullstack (Tokyo) https://jobs.treasure.ai/jobs/542524-staff-fullstack-enginee...
* Staff Fullstack (Vancouver) https://jobs.treasure.ai/jobs/615459-staff-fullstack-enginee...
* More roles on our careers page (we are massively hiring): https://jobs.treasure.ai/
When you look at the headers of major websites, you’ll see us. If it has to be performant, secure, scaled worldwide, and always-on, it uses Fastly.
We're a globally edge cloud platform for performance and security, emphasizing open standards, sustainable engineering, and resilience-by-design.
We're hiring across compute, security, platform engineering, network and edge protocols, release engineering, network architecture, client services engineering, and more.
Rather than building walled gardens, we co-founded the Bytecode Alliance, heavily upstream our work to open standards, actively author IETF drafts, and power the global infrastructure for open-source Python, Rust, Ruby, OpenStreetMap, and much more.
The Stack: Rust, C/C++, Go, Javascript, Typescript, WebAssembly (Wasm/WASI), Wasmtime, Cranelift, eBPF/XDP, QUIC, HTTP, TLS, TCP, Varnish/VCL, Linux kernel internals, distributed systems, professional services.
MixRank processes petabytes of data every month through web crawling. Hundreds of customers use our data products, including Google, Amazon, Facebook, Intel, and Adobe, across industries such as finance, recruiting, sales, marketing, and security. We’re a fully remote company with a global footprint across 20+ countries. We’re growing, profitable, employee-owned, and have no dependence on outside funding. Applicants from all geographies and backgrounds are welcome.
We’re looking for passionate individuals for whom programming is not just a job, but something they genuinely love to do. We’re obsessed with computers, programming, big data, databases, compilers, hardware, math, data science, and the internet. Does this sound like you? Please apply to join our team.
Our codebase is friendly to new contributors. You’ll have a fully functional development environment within hours through full automation and will be pushing commits on your first day. Deployments to production happen multiple times per day and finish in under two minutes.Effectively all of our codebase is written in Python, Rust, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Nix. The core technologies you’ll need familiarity with to be productive are Python, PostgreSQL, Linux, and Git.
We operate at a larger scale than typical startups. We run two datacenters with high-performance servers we’ve built ourselves, capable of handling the volumes of data we process. We’ve implemented our own distributed file system, perform full-scale web crawls, and download and run static analysis on the entire universe of published Android APKs and iOS IPAs.
Unlike a typical startup where you might spend half your time in meetings and the other half fixing Jira tickets, at MixRank you’ll challenge yourself with difficult technical problems that help you grow as an individual. We’re continuously hiring for the positions below; these aren’t singular roles that close once filled. Our philosophy is that the candidate is more important than the position. For each new member of the team, we design a custom role and responsibilities around their interests.
Other companies may create a long list of specific requirements with the expectation that you’ll exactly replace someone on the team or fit a role defined by committee. MixRank is more pragmatic: we first get excited about bringing a unique individual onto the team, then figure out the best way to support their specific talents.
Junior Software Engineer - Remote (Global), Full-Time

I’m Kiran, Chief of Staff at MixRank, a fully remote data startup building go-to-market intelligence. We’re US-incorporated but hire globally, and we’re bringing on new teammates to join a fast-moving team with real ownership and impact.
I'm building an AI-native operations tool for private mortgage lenders. MVP targets two workflows that eat servicing staff time: NSF collections follow-up and renewal management. I run a Canadian private lender as my day job, so the product is built against a real shop with real data and real users. Self-funded. No VCs, no board.
The data model is locked (20 tables, multi-tenant by lender_id, idempotent CSV imports, append-only event log). Wireframes in progress. Hiring one engineer for the full ~6-month build via a paid bake-off: $5k flat for ~1 week of work, 2-3 candidates in parallel, winner takes the engagement. Losing candidates get paid in full and keep their work.
Trial scope: CSV loan tape import with idempotent upsert + audit, one case detail screen, one LLM call classifying a borrower email reply with structured output, activity log driven by case events. Stack is contractor's choice — Postgres required, Next.js + TS or Python + React expected.
Looking for senior generalists with real production LLM experience (structured outputs, evals, failure modes — not side-project tier) and strong relational data modeling judgment. Opinions you'll defend in writing.
Email: info@readifinancial.com
with: one paragraph on why this interests you, 1-2 links to shipped work involving a real schema + LLM in production, your rate and availability, and one question about the project. No cover letters.
Search terms: postgres, multi-tenant, LLM, OpenAI, Anthropic, Next.js,
TypeScript, Python, fintech, vertical SaaS, founding engineer, contract, Canada
At Shepherd, we're pursuing the most ambitious technical vision in commercial insurance: fully autonomous underwriting. Shepherd is an AI-native commercial insurance platform transforming how high-hazard industries get covered.
The infrastructure behind the AI boom (data centers, semiconductor fabs, renewable energy assets) has to be built and insured, but traditional carriers weren't built for this speed. We built Shepherd to solve that.
We just recently announced our $42M Series B! That brings our total funding to over $60M — led by Intact Private Capital, the investment arm of one of the largest insurers in the world. Intact is not only our lead investor but also a carrier partner, a testament to the confidence the incumbent industry has in what we're building.
